The Sugar Fairy herself, Mary.
A little bit about me:
My name is Mary Yaghnam and I’m passionate about three things. Baking, Fitness, and my Palestinian Heritage. Growing up in Los Angeles as a first generation Palestinian-American I’ve been able to experience the best of both worlds when it comes to baked goods. I’m a major cookie connoisseur, hence the birth of Sugar Fairy Mary.
What is SugarFairyMary?
Sugar Fairy Mary is me, a little cookie loving fairy that delivers sweet little packages of baked goods that will make your heart warm and taste buds happy. We offer a various assortment of American cookies, Mediterranean Cookies that taste magical, and our menu is only expanding.
Each box of cookies is packaged and baked with care, love and warmth. Sharing a little bit of my heritage and my “home” with you. All our cookies are handmade in the San Fernando Valley. You can find our full menu (here)
How did it start?
Every Easter holiday, my family makes "Kaak bi ajweh" (in Arabic), round cookies filled with date paste, as well as "Maamoul", cookies filled with pistachios. These cookies are not only delicious, but personally carry a sense of nostalgia, reminding me of the days where my mother, grandmother and aunts huddled around the kitchen baking for hours with nothing but love, joy and happiness. When the month of Easter is over and the cookies dwindle down, I get so sad because I know I can't have any till next year. And so it clicked, I need these cookies all year long! And I want to share them with YOU, along with so much more!
Apart from my family history, these cookies are just DELICIOUS, and the date filled ones are my absolute favorite. I have one with my coffee everyday as a little treat to myself.
What’s next for SugarFairyMary?
Since I’m also very passionate about health and fitness, we are working on providing gluten-free and sugar-free options in our menu. Stay tuned for what's to come, I hope you're as excited as I am!.
Thank you for visiting, share our cookies with a friend. Share the love that we put into these cookies and get a taste of a new culture.
